Rev. ( Hon.) Nagombe Joseph Titus, the coordinator NGADA Special Development Area has briefed a US-base Medical Intervention and Community Development Strategic Team under the aegis of GELCHAAN. The team was led by Evang. Dan Gibbs, the director general of GELCHAAN.
In a three hours meeting, the team expressed their satisfaction with the level of progress made in the development area and appreciated the effort of Governor Darius for considering and recognizing the people of that area.
Briefing the team, Nagombe succinctly explained the area’s achievement on health so far as he mentioned some projects executed and health personnel engaged in the process. He also explained the cooperation they have been receiving from the state government and the plan on ground to improve on the system.
The coordinator also stated how they plan to sustain the areas by embarking on some agricultural projects that will be the source of income to the area in the future. He however intimated them with the challenges still to be overcomed.
The US team stated that they were informed about the area and appreciated Nagombe for what he has done so far. They expressed the readiness of the team to visit the area with health programmes and some social support in any possible way. Speaking, Lawrence, one of the team member maintained that with a good plan the team will visit the area sometime to administer health services to the environs. He also stated the mission of the team and reiterated their willingness to collaborate with the leadership of NGADA to get their mission accomplished.
