VSF PARTNERS STATE GOVERNMENT TO RENOVATE SCHOOL


The Flag-off ceremony for the school renovation project aided by the Victims Support Fund and the Taraba state Government for the reconstruction and provision of modern learning facilities at the Government Secondary School Takum has been fixed for the 18th of December 2017.
The State Commissioner for Education Mr. Johnhanes Njigim disclosed this shortly after the signing ceremony which took place at the Victims Support Fund office in Abuja.
According to him, the victim support funds is aimed at assisting schools and communities that were ravaged as a result of crisis and insurgency in the North-East sub region.
The Commissioner further said the Team was in the State sometimes back to see for themselves how students receive lessons under trees and to act accordingly.
Mr. Njigim who reaffirmed Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku’s determination to provide quality education to young Tarabans also stated that the Taraba State Government will provide an enabling environment, supervision, bill of quality and architectural design.
The project which is expected to be executed within six to eight months will include fencing, Staff Quarters and a Laboratory among others.
